英語時尚口語彙總

Every once in a while on a weekend, my family and I go to the local park, and shoot off some small fireworks. then we light some sparklers and run around until they burn out. It's nice to watch the kids run around with the sparklers. You know, it's actually kind of hard to see who is who in the dark. but I can tell because the height of sparks and the sound of the laughter. If it were only laughter, and no sparks, wow, something big would be missing.

If I had to lose one of my senses, I am not sure which one would be, but I now for sure that I would keep my sight. Being able to see is such a blessing.

There are so many wonderful things to see in this world,

the colorful flowers and leaves,

時尚口語:Pet peeves

I don't complain that often, it's just not my style. But sometimes I just have to get what's bothering me off my chest! Maybe today is a good chance to talk about my pet peeves. Today, I'll invent a little bit, I hope you don't mind. Do you have any pet peeves? You know those things you often complain about, those things that don't seem to go away, or those things that bug you over and over again. Like, people who talk on their cell phones at the movies'--that really irritates me! Or, people who don't use their turn signals when they make a turn or change lings--what are they thinking! Or, you know what aggravates me? People who wear sunglasses in the subway--what's up with that? Or, people who don't wash their hands after they go to the bathroom--come on, guys! Or, litter bugs, just put your trash into trash can--how hard could that be?

Talk about it:

Do you have things that frequently bother you? Are there any pet peeves you can mention to your friends? What is a pet peeve? How do you react when someone bothers you? Do you complain a lot? Do you complain about big things or little things? What are some small things that bother you? How do you deal with your pet peeves? Do litter bugs bother you? What bothers you when people are driving?

時尚口語: Red

When learning English, a good memory will help you, but a good imagination may help you even more. For example, in English we don’t have many words for colors, but we have many ways to describe a color.

We say red like a cherry, or red like blood, or red like someone’s lips. But red is red. What comes to mind when you think of red? I think of different things like delicious red apples, expensive red sports cars, sparkling red rubies, or red roses. I also think of different images, ooh, a company that is not doing well, it’s in the red; or special ‘red-carpet’ treatment you might give a VIP. A person with a bad sunburn is as red as a lobster. A person who is angry is red in the face.

Word association exercises can help you with English. So, I hope you’re in the mood to exercise.

Talk about it:

When you hear the word “red”, what comes to your mind? What is your favorite color? How does the color red make you feel? What is something that is like red? Did you ever play word association games? Does having a good imagination help you learn the language? How can the good imagination be helpful? What method do you use to learn English?

時尚口語:making changes---getting rid of bad habits

I was cleaning up my computer yesterday, organizing files, deleting some unused things to make more space, and improving what I already have. Even though my computer was almost five years old, pretty old in computer years, I don't plan on buying a new computer any time soon, because I just use it for some simple things. Anyway, so I got to thinking about, well, if I could 【】 different things from Me, what would I ? If I would add certain things, what would I aad. I guess it's possible to add or subtract certain physical traits. Many people plastic surgery or get liposuction, or whatever, but I was thinking more about habit. If I were able to one bad habit, and add one good habit, what would it be? I started running through my list of bad habits, After a number of three thousand four hundred and seventy-one, I thought, "OK, Asaac, choose one!" So, I decided on knuckle cracking. That's the one habit I want to get rid of. If I could magically add habit, I guess it would be "exercise every morning before I go to work". All of us had bad habits, some of them aren't so bad, these could be things like: not turning off the lights when leaving the room, or watching too much television. But, some of these bad habits are more serious, like: drinking too much, or smoking. I am glad I don't have those habits. There are lots of good habits we can pick up.

A person might try being nicer to people, or stop eating junk food, or try to be more punctual, not be later all the time.

Everyone probably wants to lose bad habits, or pick up good babit, how about you?

What would you like to add or substract from you life?

Talk about it

1)what are your good habits?

2)what are your bad habits?

8)what do you think the best method for breaking about a habit is?

9)how often do you have to perform action before you think it be comes a habit?

時尚口語:Making judgement

Are you the type of person that is quick to judge? I often make the mistake of quickly judging someone. You've probably heard the expression, "Don't judge a book by its cover". But, it's hard not to. In this fast-food world, where everything travels faster and faster, and we are still not satisfied. It's hard not to make quick judgement.

We channel surf, and people surf too.

I think it's easy to critisize others, and it's easy to critisize ourselves. I would have to say that I'm my worst critic. I'm pretty hard on myself. How about you?

Do you consider yourself to be a fairly understanding person? Critisizing yourself a little bit is ok. Actually I think it's important to laugh at yourself, even to tease yourself. Better you tease yourself than others. Rodney Dangerfield, a famous American comedian, passed away not too long ago, he has many one-liners, where he put himself d you like to hear one of the silly things he said?

He said,"I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me, he said I was being rediculous. Everyone hasn't met me yet".

Recently, I'm trying to be less critical of people, and even myself. When I'm in a judgement mood, I even try to laugh a little, what do you do?

Talk about it:

1)are you a critical person?

2)what do you usually criticize?

3)how do you feel when people criticize you?

4)are you good at laughing at yourself?

5)how important are first impressions to you?

6)do you ever judge people before you meet them?

7)are you able to change the first impression of a person later on?

8)what do you do to make a good first impression?

9)how do you decide whether to change something about youself?

10)would you change something about yourself if a close friend or relative pointed out a fault?
