I have a dream is to make reading become relaxed and happy.
Why do I have this dream? Because reading is too tired now I 6:30 in the morning when doing the dream also will hear mother shouted at my bedside "get up! Or else I will open a shrill alarm clock!" however, nobody has ever made out what the word “love” really connotes, not even the most famous people such as great politicians, saints and philosophers can clarify the meaning of “love”， neither can they deal with the various affairs concerning love. love is like a huge boundless net that shrouds us all in. we can neither break away from it nor escape from it. like it or not, we are always entangled in it. it is an invisible net without any form, that shrouds in different people from different angels; it is a merciless net that upsets us or even tortures us to death. it is also a supreme net which almost no human can surpass. even if they are heroes, emperors, wise men or saints, they can do nothing but show their helplessness in its face. those who can breathe through the holes of the net should be regarded beyond commonness and vulgarity. love can bring us temporary comfort and happiness, but mostly they bring about annoyance and sufferings. maybe this is the reason why many people have seen through the illusions of the mortal world. however it is not so easy to break away from this boundless, ever-existing and indifferent net of love.
love is varied and changeable, but roughly it can be divided into three categories: family love, fraternal love and amatory love. not like monkey king who jumped out of the rocks, we were all born after mother's pregnancy of about nine months, hence we have countless relatives without any choice: parents, grand-parents, and grand-parents-in-law, uncles and aunties, brothers and sisters, etc. and once looking at the genealogical tree, we'll see no end. family love is what everyone longs for, but the warmth and support from our beloved ones are what everyone yearns for the most. but how many of us are determined to contribute to our beloved one? and how many don't expect repayment and relaxed. conscience even if they have the desire and preparation to contribute to their beloved. the distance between relatives is different and so are their expectations. but since it's very difficult to know how much we should expect, a lot of worries and distresses emerge.

an apple tree
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and lay around it every day. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
Time went by… the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day. One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. “Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy. “I am no longer a kid, I don't play around trees anymore.” The boy replied, “I want toys. I need money to buy them.” “Sorry, but I don't have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.” The boy was so excited. 論文摘要：大學英語教學在對學生語言交際性發揮方面還存在不足，所以把英語演講教學引入其中對於學生興趣的發展，語言能力的提高，跨文化意識的建立，及個人綜合能力的提高都有很強的積極作用。本文對開設英語演講教學的可行性，設置方法，作用及要求給與了詳盡的論述。
一、導言
以雄辯為核心的演講術是人類社會文明與智慧的結晶，其作用和威力是不可估量的。在風雲多變的國際政治與外交領域，英語演講經常被當作維護本民族利益或緩解國際衝突的有力武器。而且隨着國際空間的日益縮小，隨着北京奧運會的悄然臨近，英語演講在中國正逐漸成為一種時尚。
演講在美國的很多大專院校都是必修課，這説明演講在美國高等教育中佔有很重要的位置，同時也説明，演講是需要經過系統的訓練才能掌握的一種本領。然而在中國，英語課堂傳統的教學法里老師只重視語言知識的傳授，也強調聽説，但是明顯層次不夠，沒有獨立性和現場性，不利於語言交際性的充分發揮。這種教學很容易使課堂氣氛沉悶，扼殺了學生的學習興趣。所以把英語演講引人英語教學當中對於學生興趣的發展，語言能力的提高，跨文化意識的建立，及個人綜合能力的提高都有很強的積極作用。
二、開設英語演講課程的必要性及可行性
語言教學不可能脱離言語活動，教師在教學設計中就要統籌安排，確保學生有大量的語言實踐、語言運用的機會。曾有作者對其大學不同系部的學生進行問卷調查後發現:學了6-10年英語，自以為已掌握了8000-16000詞彙的非英語專業學生，居然有90.7%的人沒有在公開場合用英語大聲説過3分鐘以上的話;62%的學生認為，口語不好主要原因是不知如何恰當地表達與詞彙量太小;只有5.2%的人十分肯定地回答，能流利地用英語回答老師的特殊疑問句。為了改變這種“啞巴英語”的狀況，其後此作者對非英語專業輔修外語的學生進行了為期30課時的英語演講課教學實踐。經過30小時訓練後，作者對接受了訓練的學生(39人，2個班)進行跟蹤問卷調查，結果顯示:91.4%的人認為此種口語訓練法內容新穎豐富;80%的人認為口語有較大的提高;85.7%的人認為在此課程教學中最大的收穫是膽量增大了，説好英語的自信心增強了;88.6%的人認為此課程的開設對他們未來的學習與工作有深刻的影響;97%的學生希望此課程能延期為1年。實踐證明:在課堂教學中，對學生進行英語演講訓練是提高學生聽、説、寫作能力與用英語進行邏輯思維的能力的行之有效的方法。
三、演講課的設置
1.教學形式
演講活動的方式可分為三類，即命題演講、即興演講和論辯演講。所謂命題演講(preparedspeech),就是由別人擬定題目或演講範圍，並經過準備後所做的演講。即興演講(unpreparedspeech),又稱即席演講或即時演講，它是演講者在沒有準備或沒有充分準備的情況下臨時發表的講話。論辯演講通常是辯論賽的形式。由於論辯演講耗費時間較長，我們課前通常採取的是前兩種形式。在命題演講上我們也突破了常規，不僅有老師命題的形式，也有學生自命題的形式。
在演講活動中，學生是活動的主體，老師起着組織與點評的作用。這幾種演講形式在語言實踐中可以交叉靈活運用，根據目的的不同而在使用上有所區別。在開始階段，學生的演講能力還較弱，可讓學生進行自由演講，即命題自定，題材自選。事實表明學生的選材很廣泛，涉及故事、謎語、笑話、習語、格言、逸聞趣事或者風俗習慣等。隨着自信心的增長，語言能力的提高，教師可以鼓勵學生做即興演講。即興演講是一種臨場發揮的演講形式，也是最能反映一個人思維敏捷程度和語言組織能力的口頭表達方式。
2.建議教學方法
建議採用由易到難，由機械地、有準備地發言到即興演講，以學生為中心、教師為輔佐的方法進行課堂活動。比如教師前7周每次花30分鐘簡單地講授演講、修辭技巧及實例，然後讓學生就某個問題進行自由發言，並提前給出下次要講的題目。下次_上課時.先讓學生自由登台表演，並由其他學生對演講者內容組織的邏輯性、語法、修辭、思想內容以及演講的姿態作出評價最後評出1名最佳演講者以示表揚。活動完成後，教師再講授新內容，佈置新任務給學生。後8周教師繼續每次花30分鐘左右講授演講技巧並進行名篇實例賞析，然後當場給出與技巧相應的情景與題目。讓學生大聲口頭準備1刻鐘(亦可寫提綱)，再上台演講或分組進行辯論。學生上台後進行正式演講，並注意語言，情感，手勢，姿勢等，最後由教師和同學一起打分，給與評價。
四、英語演講課對英語學習的作用及要求
英語演講對學生的語言能力，文化修養，跨文化意識，及個人的綜合素質都有較高的要求。
1.出色的英語演講要以紮實的英語基本功為基礎。這對於英語是非母語的學習者來説是一個不小的挑戰。要想克服這個困難，我認為最直接，最有效的`方法就是大量地、有計劃地閲讀英文原文和優秀的英文譯文。閲讀時應採用默讀與大聲朗讀相結合的方式以達到鍛鍊口才的目的。大量的、有效的英語閲讀能夠幫助學習者培養用英語思維的習’質，這對提高英語的口頭及筆頭表達能力是至關重要的。
2.掌握英語公共演講的藝術也需要大量的語言以外的知識的積累。一個演講者要受人信服只憑一些英語演講的技巧和演講稿的寫作方法是遠遠不夠的，事實上，無論是用哪一種語言演講，成功的先決條件之一都應該是具有廣博的知識，這包括對東西方文化的深人瞭解。對於英語不是母語的人來説，熟悉西方文化是學習英語演講的重要環節，但成功的英語演講也離不開演講者對本民族文化的熱愛、瞭解和尊重。熟悉本民族的歷史文化能加大演講者的思維和想象空間，使其演講的內容更加豐富，演講的語言更具表現力。
3.要使演講這門藝術臻於完美，演講者必須處理好演講的內容與形式之間的關係，做到既不拘泥於形勢，也不華文濫詞。同時儘可能的發揮創造力和想象力，儘量表現出其強烈的求知慾、廣泛的興趣愛好、豐富的百科知識以及高度的社會責任感。
五、對於開設演講課的幾點建議
1選擇好的教科書，和參考資料。這些書和內容應該涉及語言訓練，文化訓練，演講技能訓練及個人綜合素質訓練。這樣才能給教師和學生一個好的學習助手和參考工具。
2.從有準備演講到即興演講分三步走。不急不躁，不貪多貪快，使學生從最基本的技巧內容着手，培養其好的學習習慣和演講風格。
3.選題從文體到內容都應由易到難，由學生熟悉的到陌生的，並富挑戰性，趣味性。除了極富爭議性的議論文以外，還可給學生一些説明文體與描寫文體的題目，讓他們充分發揮想象力。
4.採取針對性措施。針對不同心態的學生，在演講訓練中應採取不同的措施。(1)鼓勵膽小與沉默不語的學生。採用積極的態度幫助他們“開金口”2)激勵鞭策膽大者。在演講訓練中，也有膽大者可能口若懸河，但仔細聽之，雖然他們表意，但又無幾句準確的句子。對於這種學生先肯定其優點，再在不經意中重複並指出其缺點，然後示範之。
5.教師既當觀眾也當演員。有些需要辯論的題材，需要對講，這就需要羣體的參與，這時教師站在某一邊更能激發學生“發誓要把老師擊敗”的談興。於這種學生先肯定其優點，再在不經意中重複並指出其缺點，然後示範之。

What is nature
What is nature? It's everything that exists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather.
Now more and more people are focusing on the nature. It is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. No nature, no life. Because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a long time. And we started to gain every thing available from the nature. And this lasted so long a time. Today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse.
What is threatening the nature? Air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on. Overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution. Let's take overpopulation as an example.
What does overpopulation feel like? When we move slowly through the city in a tazi. When we enter a crowded slum district. When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. The streets are crowded with people. The streets seem alive with people. People eating. People washing. People talking. People sleeping. People visiting each other, arguing and screaming. People relieving themselves. People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging. People leading animals. People, people, people, people. As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! I admit, frightening.
To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem. More people, more pollution. And the big population is threatening the nature every second.
The rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the developing countries. The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase. People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India. Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.
For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth. For example, China has carried out birth control for years. And this plan has a great effect on the world population.
If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. Species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change. Economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk. By protecting nature, we protect ourselves.
Let's unite together, hand in hand we stand all across the land.

every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. my friends will listen to me when i want to speak, will wipe my eyes when i cry, will take care of me when i am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.
as students, we could share more time with our friends. the friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. i often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. especially when i had justin as one of my best friends. justin was my english teacher from the usa. i met him in 1996 when i was a student who could only speak very little english. justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. he taught us english by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing. i could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class, we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on christmas eve. it was so interesting and unforgettable. justin was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study english well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives. i know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts. facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith, under-standing, and care. justin is the best friend i have ever had, and i know i will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.
friendship is a kind of treasure in our lives. it is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will be. it is also like a cup of tea. when we are thirsty, it will be our best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves, it is also the most fragrant drink.

I dream of being a doctor.
My mother is a doctor. She always has to work extra hours and comes home late and tired. She has to go to the hospital immediately any time she is needed no matter how late it is at night. When I was very little and still in primary school I once asked her why she chose such a boring and hard . She answered with a smile “Yes I am sometimes very tired but seeing my patients getting better and better makes me happy from the bottom of my heart.”
As I grow up I gradually come to understand her words and realize doctors are noble. I made up my mind to be a doctor when I was in junior school and this has never changed since then.
I really hope to see a world where there is no cancer no Aids no fatal disease no one suffering from illness. But this is only a fantasy. What about the reality? There are still many many people who are faced with disastrous disease and suffering from constant pain. There are still many many people living in miserable condition and live miserably. There are still many many people dying of cancer and leaving the beautiful world reluctantly. All those things make me feel sad because I think everyone has the right to live . I want to help the sick and reduce their pain as much as I can. I want to bring a healthy body to the patients and save their lives as many as I can. I want to see people cured living happily with their families and friends after my treatment. So I want to be a doctor an angel in white.
When I become a doctor I will cherish each life regardless of the races sexes ages positions and occupations. I will do every bit to cure the incurable.
I already have a dream in my heartso I have to make every effort to realize a high school student nowI will seize every chance to study hardarm myself with knowledge prepare myself for the future and strive for my dreams.
