英語讀書演講

一、 活動背景

隨着時代的發展,民族逐漸融合,“地球村”也越來越小.如何使中國與國際社會進行更好的交流,促進彼此的發展,是當代中國大學生不可推卸的責任。而英語作為世界上使用最廣泛的語言，在國際的交流中自然起着至關重要的作用。所以，英語水平已成為衡量當代大學生素質的基本標準之一。因此，本着“全院參與，辦出特色，發現人才，培養學習興趣”的宗旨，英語讀書社舉辦一次面向全校各級的英語演講比賽，以提高同學們的英語口語水平，提供一個可以展現自我，激勵他人的舞台，並且加強在校大學生的競爭意識。

二、活動主題

“讀書改變人生，學習成就未來”（Reading changes life, learning shapes future）

三、活動目的

為了給每位喜愛英語的同學提供一個展現自我的平台，豐富大家的第二課堂生活並配合學院關於第三屆讀書節活動的實施，同時充分挖掘個人的潛能，增強同學們的競爭意識，提高綜合能力，英語讀書社及外語系團總支特此舉行以“讀書改變人生，學習成就未來"（Reading changes life, learning shapes future）為主題的演講比賽，相信本次活動能給大家帶來意外的收穫並能夠終生受用。

（1） 活動前期宣傳：

由宣傳部負責，其他各部門做好配合工作，宣傳形式以張貼海報為主。

3、主題由主辦方選定後，選手們再自擬題目，要求內容積極、健康、向上。

4、如有背景音樂，則自帶光碟。

5、自備服裝和自己所需要的工具。

when i'm free or in trouble, i always take out a book and read quietly. in no time, i've put my heart into it so that i'll forget all the troubles. it's in this way that i've formed the habit of reading in any time.

little boys as i was, i was interest in picture books and storybooks. i was struck by them. no sooner had i entered the middle school than i began to read novel, plays, essays and so on. i found i could get much from them. little by little i took great interest in literature and last term i won the first prize in the composition contest among middle-school students in zhe jiang.

reading “the emperor's new clothes”, i had to let out a burst of laughter over his fool. “the little match girl” couldn't keep me from crying for her misery. “ robinson crusoe” took me into a strange world full of danger. and i was also deeply impressed by helen keller's patience and perseverance… besides these, books also tell me other thing -how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong. in a word, good books can make me know what i didn't before. so i think of a good book as my best friend.

i'll never forget this famous saying,“ good books are best friends who never turn their backs upon us.”

have you ever learned english by watching english dvd movies? is that an effective english learning method for you? why?

watching english dvd movies is a very effective method of learning english. i learnt english at college at home. as a natural result of insufficient english speaking environment, my speaking and listening abilities were not developed satisfactorily, although my reading and writing abilities were quite all right. i remember my experience during a summer vacation when i made plans to watch 10 original english movies (i mean those not dubbed.) including the classic casablanca, rebecca, a tale of two cities, and little women.

i persistently carried out my plan and each of the films i watched a dozen times until i could recite most of the dialogues. at the end of that summer vacation, i found i became nearly as fluent as a native english speaker.

the ways of reading

we may obtain knowledge by reading. the more books we read, the more we accumulate the knowledge. is it right? i don’t think so. it’s not wide reading but useful reading that leads to excellence. and only good books can benefit us.

so choosing books is very important for reading. many students spend a lot of time reading legends and swordsman novels. it’s a waste of time. some students even read some bad books and it is harmful for them.

so be as careful of the books we read, as of the company we keep, for our habit and character will be as much influenced by the former as by the latter.

Some people say that reading is not good. Reading is a kind of burden, reading is locked in a tight without ventilation cages, reading as if to accept the devil training, you were dead, reading is very painful, it is the people on the lethal poison. This is just the illiterate, but I think the benefits of reading. I think the book is the ladder of human progress, is the human silent teacher, books are our friends, the book is nutrition of pills, books are food for the soul, the book let us into a heaven, there is a heaven. Reading is a kind of beautiful enjoyment. Reading, let you like into the wonderland, let your life more colorful childhood reading, cultivate your sentiments, relieve fatigue, you forget your trouble, reading is colorful sauces. Rather than call me elapsed time in playing, call me to book the ocean.

When I don't understand, I saw a book like hell, but as time goes by, I grow up, I know what is the real enjoyment, I learned to enjoy the pleasure of reading.

Read volumes, such as writing. Reading can not only enjoy pleasure, but there is a lot of help to you. Books to read, write up the article, also is like flowing, speaks also of being, is not very good?

Reading let me add a lot of fun, I also learned to enjoy the pleasure of reading. Golden house in my childhood, there are always two words "reading". 有人説，讀書沒有什麼好處。讀書是一種負擔，讀書時猶如把自己關在一個密不通風的籠子裏，讀書彷彿在接受魔鬼訓練一般，使你生不如死，讀書是多麼痛苦，它是致人於死命的毒藥。這只是那些文盲的看法，我卻覺得讀書的好處多多。我認為書是人類進步的`階梯，書是人類無聲的老師，書是我們的知心好友，書是營養的藥丸，書是精神食糧，書讓我們走進了一個極樂世界，那裏簡直是天堂。讀書是一種美的享受。讀書，讓你像走進了仙境一樣，讀書讓你的童年生活更加富有色彩，讀書陶冶了你的情操，減輕了你的疲勞，忘掉了你的煩惱，讀書是五彩的調味料。與其叫我在玩中消耗時間，不如叫我到書的海洋中遨遊。

在我不懂事之時，我見書如見鬼，可隨着時間的流逝，我長大了，我知道什麼是真正的享受，我學會了享受讀書的樂趣。

讀書破萬卷，下筆如有神。讀書不僅可以享受樂趣，而且對你有很大的幫助。書讀多了，寫起文章來，也會如行雲流水一般，説起話來也文彬彬的，不是很好嗎?

讀書讓我增添了許多樂趣，我也學會了享受讀書的樂趣。在我童年的金色屋中，永遠都存在着兩個字“讀書”。只有先學會讀書，才懂得享受讀書的樂趣。只有讀書，你的生活才有意義，你的人生才會綻放出光芒，你也才不會虛度此生!

Learning english can be a very difficult task for most people, this is because we dont live in a environment where we are forced to speak or write english. so i think the best way to learn english is by communicating with others using the lagnguage itself and not just learn from the book. Im sure if you live in an environment such as a foreign country and were forced to speak and write english everyday then your english will imprve dramatically.

Although we must agree that we need to read and write english from the book in order to get the foundations that we need for basic communication, this is essential but as i said, this is only a foundation, what you develop afterwards all depends on your ability to adapt to an environment and your courage.

對大多數人來説，學習英語是一項非常困難的任務，這是因為我們不生活在被迫説或寫英語的環境中。所以我認為學習英語最好的方法是通過使用語言本身而不是別人交流從書中學習。我相信如果你生活在一個環境如國外，被迫説，寫英語你的英語將成績顯着。

雖然我們必須同意，我們需要從書中讀和寫英語，以便獲得基本交流所需要的基礎，這是必要的，但正如我所説，這只是一個基礎，你以後的發展都取決於你適應環境和勇氣的能力。

As is well known, books teach us to learn life, truth, science and many other useful things. They increase our knowledge, broaden our minds and strengthen our character. In other words, they are our good teachers and wise friends. This is the reason why our parents always encourage us to read more books.

Reading is a good thing, but we must pay great attention to the choice of books. It is true that we can derive benefits from good books. However, bad books will do us more harm than good.

Only reading be self-motivated people can learn knowledge, otherwise, will become ignorant. I think, we should like to read books, love reading. I remember that du may once said a words: "reading make people relaxed and happy."

There is a famous saying: "read volumes, such as writing." Reading has many benefits, reading can let us growth knowledge; Reading books can broaden our vision; Reading can let we collected many good words we segment. In reading a book, I deeply feel: books are immense ocean, book is the sky of knowledge, books are endless prairie.

Gorky once said such a words: "books are the ladder of human progress." "I rushed in a book is like a hungry person sees a loaf of bread." Yes, books can cultivate people's sentiment, it can make us relax and breathe the fresh air. I think, love is never wrong, books can make us get rid of a lot of bad habits. It's good to read! Reading makes I aspire to be a useful person to society, I want to be like the beloved premier zhou "reading for the rise of the Chinese," we only have small to read and study hard, to master the knowledge, grow up, can we use our talents to serve human, repay our dear motherland.

Let us act quickly, to book sea roam! Then you will realize the Shakespeare's words: "life without books, just like without the sun, wisdom without books, like a bird without wings." The refraction of the truth.

只有讀書求上進的人才能學到知識，不然的話，就會變得愚昧無知。我想，我們應該喜歡讀書、愛讀書。我記得，杜阿美曾經説過一句話：“讀書使人心曠神怡。”

有一句名言説：“讀書破萬卷，下筆如有神。”讀書有許多好處，讀書可以讓我們增長知識;讀書可以開闊我們的視野;讀書可以讓我們收集到許許多多的好詞好句好段。在讀書中，我深深地感受到：書是無邊無際的海洋，書是知識的天空，書是無垠的草原。

高爾基曾經説過這樣兩句話：“書籍是人類進步的階梯。”“我撲在書上就像飢餓的人撲在麪包上。”是的，書可以陶冶人的情操，它能讓我們放鬆心情，自由呼吸新鮮的空氣。我認為，愛書是永遠都不會錯的，書可以讓我們改掉許許多多的不良習慣。讀書真好!讀書使我立志做個對社會有用的人，我要像敬愛的周總理那樣“為中華之崛起而讀起”我們只有從小刻苦讀書、學習，掌握那淵博的知識，長大了以後，才能用我們的才幹為人類服務，報答我們那親愛的祖國。

讓我們趕快行動起來，去書的海洋遨遊吧!那時你會體會到莎士比亞的名言：“生活中沒有了書籍，就好像沒有了太陽;智慧中沒有了書籍，就好像鳥兒沒有了翅膀。”所折射的真理。
