Designer creates floating bed

AMSTERDAM （Reuters） — A young Dutch architect has created a floating bed which hovers above the ground through magnetic force and comes with a price tag of 1。2 million euros （810，000 pounds）。

目前，一名年輕的荷蘭建築師研製成功了一張通過磁力漂浮在半空中的牀。這張牀的售價高達120萬歐元。

Janjaap Ruijssenaars took inspiration for the bed —— a sleek black platform， which took six years to develop。

荷蘭建築師簡加普·魯基森納斯最初產生了設計這張浮牀的靈感，並耗費6年時間將其研製成功。

"No matter where you live all architecture is dictated by gravity。 I wondered whether you could make an object， a building or a piece of furniture where this is not the case —— where another power actually dictates the image，" Ruijssenaars said。

魯基森納斯説：“無論你身居何處，所有的建築物都是受地心引力的控制。我曾思考能否製造出一種物體，一幢房子或是一件傢俱，不受地心引力的控制而受另一種能量的掌控。”

Magnets built into the floor and into the bed itself repel each other， pushing the bed up into the air。 Thin steel cables tether the bed in place。

地面的磁體與牀裏的.磁體互相排斥使得牀漂浮在空中，同時細電纜線將浮牀在空中定位。

"It is not comfortable at the moment，" admits Ruijssenaars， adding it needs cushions and bedclothes before use。

“現在躺上去不會感到舒服，”魯基森納斯指出，在使用浮牀前還需要放上牀墊和被褥。

Although people with piercings should have no problem sleeping on the bed， Ruijssenaars advises them against entering the magnetic field between the bed and the floor。They could find their piercing suddenly tugged towards one of the magnets。

儘管攜帶着發聲物體的人睡在這張浮牀上沒有問題，但魯基森納斯建議他們還是避免身處在牀和地面的磁場之中，因為他們會發現發聲器傳出的聲音被磁體扯向了一個方向。
