prices determine how resources are to be used。 they are also the means by which products and services that are in limited supply are rationed among buyers。 the price system of the united states is a comple network composed of the prices of all the products bought and sold in the economy as well as those of a myriad of services, including labor, professional, transportation, and public-utility services。 the interrelationships of all these prices make up the system of prices。 the price of any particular product or service is linked to a broad, complicated system of prices in which everything seems to depend more or less upon everything else。

if one were to ask a group of randomly selected individuals to define price, many would reply that price is an amount of money paid by the buyer to the seller of a product or service or, in other words that price is the money values of a product or service as agreed upon in a market transaction。 this definition is, of course, valid as far as it goes。 for a complete understanding of a price in any particular transaction, much more than the amount of money involved must be known。 both the buyer and the seller should be familiar with not only the money amount, but with the amount and quality of the product or service to be echanged, the time and place at which the echange will take place and payment will be made, the form of money to be used, the credit terms and discounts that apply to the transaction, guarantees on the product or service, delivery terms, return privileges, and other factors。 in other words, both buyer and seller should be fully aware of all the factors that comprise the total package being echanged for the asked-for amount of money in order that they may evaluate a given price。

Mistakes are unavoidable in life. But attitudes towards them may make a difference.

I still remember how my spoken English got improved. At the beginning, I always kept silent in oral class to avoid making mistakes. Before long my teacher knew about my situation. He encouraged me to speak up regardless of mistakes. Whenever I made mistakes and felt discouraged, my teacher and classmates would cheer me up and then point out him I could have avoided them. Practice makes perfect. With time going by, I built up my confidence, and now I can talk fluently in English. Just as the saying goes, every bean has its black.

Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Learn from them, and success is just awaiting us.

The computer is a product of advanced civilization and its invention, according to some people, signals the advent of a Second Industrial Revolution. Formerly a bulky machine that demanded much space, the computer is now becoming smaller and smaller and scientists have made it more sophisticated and accordingly more useful. As is generally known, the computer can do a wide range of work, including complex computation and analyses. People now also use it as a teaching aid in designing. An infinite variety of software can be put into the computer, which explains why it is so powerful. There is, however, one thing which we should bear in mind: that the computer cannot think but man can. So there need not be any fear that someday the computer will control us and all we should expect is try our best to bring it to perfection. A computer age is not a pipe dream and there will come a day when most of our needs can be met by this wonderful machine.

It is believed that the computer can do almost every thing. At the time the computer was invented, scientists, carried away by its calculating speed, felt that they had created a miracle. It

Was gradually used not only in mathematics, physics, chemistry and astronomy, but in places like the library, hospital and military army to replace the work of man. For the work of man. For this reason, the computer was entiled “Electronic Brain” in terms of appreciation.

Can man be controlled by computersThe answer is negative. Although a computer works much faster and accurately than man , a fact is undeniable; it is designed, manufactured and programmed by man, and therefore by human beings. Of course, science fictions have made up many fascinating stories about a computer, or rather robot, who conquers man and the earth, even the whole universe; however, they are only uealistic imaginatio. A horse helps man a lot runs much faster than we, but it is only a slave.

The future for the computer is very promising. With the help of it, we can do things that could not be done before. Conquering the universe, discovering new things, explaining mysteruiys phenomena puzzling us at present are all made possible by computer.

Everyone knows that diligence is the key to success. As a proverb goes: “ Diligence is the mother of success.” Diligence means working hard and persistently.

All famous people of great achievements are examples of diligence. They all owe their success to hard work. Without constant efforts, no one can expect to succeed in doing anything great. Thomas Edison kept on working hard for a long time before he was able to invent he electric light. Madame Curie worked hard in the poor conditions for many years before she finally discovered radium. Some people may attribute success to good luck. But good luck favors those who are well prepared and diligent people who can make use of it. So idleness can only lead to poverty. If you do not devote yourself to your study and work, you can hardly make a living, let alone make some accomplishments.

As high school students, we must be aware that the only way to success is hard work. We must concentrate our attention on our studies, and make full use of our precious time, in order to meet the fierce challenges in the future competitions. It is certain that our future success will only rest on our constant efforts. As a proverb goes: “Only by working hard can we reap a bumper harvest.”

When I was small, if people asked me what did I want to be in the future, I would answer without hesitation that I want to be a teacher. In my heart, being a teacher is so sacred, people treat the teacher as gardener, they have contributed to fostering the future talented. So many years ago, a lot of people chose to be a teacher, but now, the teachers are enjoying less welfare, as the economy develops, the price of commodities has risen largely, while teacher’s salary only raises a little. In some countries, the teachers are very unsatisfied with the present treatment, they work so hard, but the less money can’t make them live a comfortable life, so they have to fight for their welfare. It is necessary to raise the teacher’s salary, they have work so hard and make a lot of contribution to the country, they deserve earn more income.

There is a heated dispute about education. Some think that parents should educate children how to be a qualified member of society, others, hold the opinion that school is where such education is to be held. Personally, I agree with the latter on the basis that school provide efficient factors for students to enjoy the membership in a group before they step to the universities.

Admittedly, parents are children’s most intimate people and ideal instructors in their primary education. Parents are responsible for children’s physical and mental development, for it is generally accepted that an excellent parent will have an excellent child. Parents are also children’s soul constructors. Some children had a misery lives, when they grow into adults, most of them become offenders, which poses a huge threat to the whole society. Therefore, parents play a pivotal role in instructing children to make contributions to the society.

Albeit, school, as some mentioned, is the very place to learn how to be members of society. In the first place, school is where the majority of education takes place. Teachers are well trained to educate children in a more scientific and sophisticated way. In the second place, parents might pose some drawbacks in educating children. It seems that some parents educate children in a more biased way. Last but not least, school is like a small society, children can take part in the society, and being a member can best illustrate the necessity of collective concept.

To sum up, I suggest that school shoulder more responsibility in educating children to be a good member in the society. In this way, children can become healthy both physically and mentally, and be willing to make contribution to the society.
